Research
on Sensing Human Affect
Sensors
are an important part of the Affective Computing System because
they provide information about the wearer's physical state.
This data provides unprompted information from the user about
their affective state. Without any effort on the user's part
the computer can do real-time analysis and keep records of
important events. This computer can even prompt the user to
consider certain options (like whether or not to listen to
music) based on information about the user's physical state,
which the user might not have consciously considered.
